Remote Brainstorming Sessions for Pharmacy Students.

Students, PharmD (2020-05-31)

After the end of the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, the Faculty of Pharmacy resumed studies on the 28th of May by implementing a brainstorming session for the third week of the fourth block entitled “Biomedical Sciences” for first year students. The session consisted of twelve students under the direct supervision of their tutor where they were able to perform analysis and derive the educational objectives. Students prepared a concept map using the methods available in the ZOOM program which students can access through MOODLE (the curriculum management system available at the university). Studies did not cease at the Faculty of Pharmacy since the beginning of the Corona pandemic and up till now. Rather, the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Libyan International Medical University was able, in an unprecedented step and since the 14th of March 2020, to successfully transition to the implementation of all its educational activities to be implemented remotely. These activities include Interactive sessions, problem-based learning sessions, team-based learning sessions, laboratory and clinical lessons, weekly exams, periodic exams, and more. It is worth noting that the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Libyan International Medical University is unique in that it is the only Faculty in the country that implements the PharmD program which is taught using up-to-date teaching and learning methods and advanced curricula to keep pace with international universities.
