Abstract
Tobacco smoking is the leading preventable cause of
death, responsible for more than 6 million deaths
annually worldwide. On average, smokers lose 10
years of life compared with people who never
smoke, and smoking was the leading determinant of
adult deaths from non-communicable diseases
