| dc.description | First year students at the Faculty of Pharmacy conducted their end-block exam on the 11th of March 2020 for the second educational block (II) which is one of a series of multiple educational blocks. Throughout these blocks, students study various scientific objectives that include several subjects, in addition to receiving supporting courses such as Clinical Skills, Ethics, and Literature Evaluation. It is worth noting that the academic year at the Faculty of Pharmacy constitutes of a number of educational blocks in order to achieve the methodological goals adopted by the Faculty that relays on the strategy of continuous innovation and development. The strategy is based on advanced curricula that are appropriate for modern teaching methods that place the student at the center of the teaching process (Student-Centered Education). This ensures that the attitude of students changes from mere recipients of knowledge to those involved in making and obtaining them. The Faculty of Pharmacy at the Libyan International Medical University is the first in Libya and the region to adopt a new educational program which qualifies students to obtain a PharmD degree using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method. PBL is a method of interactive learning through small groups using carefully chosen problems that mimic the reality and peculiarities of the professional practice in order to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to be: An integral component of the medical staff. An element capable of practicing clinical pharmacy with its comprehensive perspective. An element capable of formulating drug policies. A pharmacist expert in medicine. A pharmacist specialized in economics of medicine. | en_US |
