Educational Coordinators Play a Fundamental Role in the Distance Learning Process at the Faculty of Pharmacy

Team, PharmD (2020-03-26)

The coordinators of the educational stages at the Faculty of Pharmacy are making a great effort in the distance learning process. They have a responsibility to coordinate the educational activities of different kinds in addition to preparing and organizing weekly study schedules for all academic years in accordance with the approved academic agenda. Also, the coordinators of the educational stages announce the weekly schedules using the online systems approved by the Faculty. Throughout the day, they follow up and monitor the implementation of the educational process through the Moodle educational curriculum system in accordance with the Faculty’s academic agenda. The educational coordinators at the Faculty of Pharmacy are responsible for communicating with students, tutors and staff members around the clock using various electronic media to ensure the continuity of the distance learning process without disruption. It is worth noting that, despite the cessation of studies in the university headquarters more than a week ago, the Faculty of Pharmacy has succeeded, and since day one, in moving to a 100% distance learning process that complies with the academic agenda. Moreover, the faculty continues to follow the interactive educational methods adopted by the Faculty such as Problem-based Learning (PBL) and Team-based Learning (TBL) methods. This successfull accomplishment would not be possible without the efforts and commitments of the Faculty’s students and team.
