Workshop on the Mechanisms of Transition from Traditional Education to E-learning
On the 12th of August 2020, a workshop was held on the mechanisms of transition from traditional education to E-learning. The workshop was organized by the Libyan Association for Quality and Excellence in Education in cooperation with the Libyan International Medical University and the Association of Arab Universities. The target of the workshop were the directors of quality assurance offices in Libyan governmental universities, in addition to members of the Libyan Society for Quality and Excellence in Education, employees of the Libyan International Medical University, experts and those interested in the quality assurance field in education. The discussion session was chaired by Dr. Salma Bukhatwa, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Libyan International Medical University, and the discussion included the following: A word by Prof. Hussein Marjeen, President of the Libyan Association for Quality and Excellence in Education. A word by Prof. Mohamed Saad Embarak, President of the Libyan International Medical University, that was delivered by Prof. Al-Senussi Muhammad Al-Taher, University Vice President for Academic Affairs, on behalf of the president. The main talk of the workshop was presented by Prof. Abdel-Rahim Al-Hunaiti, Assistant Secretary of the Association of Arab Universities and Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Council in the Federation. In the presence of a group of specialists, over a period of about three hours, an important discussion took place about the possibility of converting Libyan governmental universities to electronic education, and the role of the Association of Arab Universities in this matter with the possibility of benefiting from the educational platform established by the Association of Arab Universities.
